FINALLY

I finally have dates. There are a couple of openings that are open if anyone is still interested. More details later.
We will be there the 17 and 18 of June 2011. Now comes the planning and training.

Why am I hiking the Grand Canyon

As I have announced that I am doing this hike I have received mixed reactions. Everything from count me in to your nuts. From the first time I went to the Grand Canyon I have always wanted to get to the bottom. I have hiked some distance down for a project while I was at ASU but never to the bottom. My doctor has told me for years to loose some weight but without a goal this is very difficult for me to be motivated. I needed a goal. This is it. I am a geologist and cannot wait to see all the amazing views. I am so looking forward to this adventure. I think that the process of getting there is also going to be fun. Please join me in the adventure of getting healthy and enjoying all that is around us. Even if you do not go with me on the journey join me for the fun of planning and anticipation. This event should be taking place in September 2011.
